Mission Sunday. Today is the day when we are being asked to dig into our hearts to assist the young local church overseas. We are being called to play our part in helping to bring the word of God to those who most hunger for it in the form of support for our many young churches. “ That they may have life” is our theme for Mission Month and as such our spiritual and financial offerings are crucial for the work of the Church overseas. Your generous contribution today will be sent in its’ entirety to support our many mission projects. We can’t do it without you. Large or small, it makes a difference and thank you for your help.

Service on Praying for those with cancer in St. Anne’s Cathedral: Bishop Ken Clarke, director of the South American Missionary Society, will be speaker at a special service of healing, October 20th at 8pm. The theme of the service will be ”˜Praying for those with cancer’. Last year cancer accounted for almost 30% of people who died in Northern Ireland. Medical facilities for those suffering from this illness are well publicised. Not so much is known about spiritual healing, yet this dimension of healing is very important. Personal prayer for the healing and the anointing with oil will be available at this service. Although we will be concentrating particularly on the theme of cancer on October 20th people can come for prayer for anything. Some of the official cancer agencies will be present to give advice to people. Worship will be led by Caz Hamilton. You will be very welcome to come along to this special service.
