Prayer of Gratitude for the Blessings of Summer
Heavenly Father, Thank You for walking with me through every day of this summer. Thank You for the sunshine, the peaceful mornings, the laughter of loved ones, and every blessing that often went unnoticed. Even during difficult moments, You never left my side. You gave me strength when I was tired, comfort when I felt worried, and hope when I needed encouragement. As this season comes to an end, I choose to remember Your goodness, instead of my disappointments. Help me keep a thankful heart in every season of life. May I never forget that every good gift comes from You. Fill my heart with joy that lasts beyond the summer months, and help me continue sharing Your love with everyone I meet. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Season of Creation is celebrated each year from September 1 (the World Day of Prayer for Creation) to October 4. This season is celebrated in all Christian Churches around the world & it invites us all to renew our participation in our vocation as custodians of God’s creation. For 2026, the official theme is “Living Water”, which is inspired by the biblical vision found in the Book of Ezekiel (47:9, 12). The passage describes water flowing from God’s sanctuary, bringing life and restoration to ecosystems and communities. Faith leaders invite us to join this 2026 season of Creation -see the invitation at seasonofcreation.org Opening Mass for the Season of Creation 6.00 pm on Sunday, 6th September in St. Patrick’s Church, Donegall Street, Belfast Celebrant: Fr Piaras Jackson SJ, with interfaith contributions. This Mass marks the beginning of the Season of Creation (1 Sept–4 Oct), a time when Christians worldwide commit to prayer and action for our common home under the theme “Living Water”.
