Parish News…

Last week’s Weekly Offertory Promise Collection amounted to £1975.00

Peter’s Pence (Pope’s Collection) to date £440.00.The proceeds are collected on a nationwide basis and given by the Church to the Pope for charitable purposes throughout the world, eg. Natural disasters such as earthquakes, famines etc. Thank you for your generous financial support.

Free Family Fun Day: Tearmann Fold Sunday 5th July 1pm-5pm. Bazaar, face Painting, Live Music & much more. All proceeds go to Feeding Dreams Cambodia. All welcome!

SUMMER NOTICES:

1. Morning Prayer will cease from Friday 3rd July and recommence Monday 31st August

2. The Parish Office will be closed Monday 13th July re-open Wednesday 15th July

3. The Parish Hall will close from Monday 13th July and re-open Monday 20th July.

4. There will be no Parish Bulletin during the months of July and August.

NB: St Agnes’ Senior Group will continue to meet for tea, coffee and craic over the summer months on a Tuesday and Thursday morning after the 10am Mass. All welcome.

CELEBRATING THE YEAR OF ST COLUMBANUS Diocesan Pilgrimage to Luxeuil, Bregenz, St Gallen & Bobbio To mark the Year of St Columbanus, Bishop Noel Treanor will lead a Diocesan Pilgrimage to sites associated with St Columbanus – Luxeuil, Bregenz, St Gallen and Bobbio — 24th -31st August. Anyone interested in taking part in the Pilgrimage is asked to contact Kieran Troy (00 353 57 9355050).

HOLY TRINITY PRESBYTERY The 1983 Wells Kennedy Pipe Organ from the former St. Martin’s Church, Newtownards Road, Belfast, has been restored and installed in the modern Holy Trinity Church, 26 Norglen Gdns, Belfast. There have been a number of tonal changes. All the work has been carried out by Alistair Mc Cartney and the Pipe Organ Preservation Company. The organ will be blessed and dedicated at 7pm Friday 26th June. This will be followed by a gala concert at 7.30pm in the Church, Featuring: The Palestrina Choir from Dublin’s Pro Cathedral, with their conductor Blanaid Murphy and accompanist Darren Magee. Dr John O’Keefe, Organist and Director of Sacred Music, St Patrick’s College, Maynooth, Marion Jordan, Soprano, George Sandford, Trumpet and other local musicians and singers.
