Parish Trip to Downpatrick:

Saturday 19th September. 

Bus leaves @ 9am. Day includes stop at St Patrick’s Centre for IMAX video of St Patrick followed by early lunch; Visit to Down Cathedral and St Patrick’s Grave and then on to Saul for Mass in St Patrick’s Church. Final stop at Slieve Patrick before bus leaves around 4pm for return to Belfast.

Cost: £40 per person.

Notice: St Agnes Prayer Group had its last meeting on Monday, 29 June and will now take a summer break. Meetings will resume on Monday, 7 September at 10:45am.

 PARISH BULLETIN Due to the holiday season the Bulletin will appear intermittently during the summer months, but the Mass Leaflet will be available throughout the Holidays each week.

PARISH  DEVELOPMENT: Recently the Parish Finance Committee, in consultation with the Diocese, has been assessing the current use of Parish properties. Since the Parish Office has moved over to the Church, the former Curates’ house, known as Rosnaree, is no longer required. The preferred option is to sell this property and money raised from the sale will be invested into the development of the remaining Parish properties. 

MASS SCHEDULE DUE TO HOLIDAYS Please note there will be no weekday 10am or 1pm Masses from Monday 20th July – until Friday 31st  July  inclusive. Saturday vigil and Sunday Masses will be as normal during this time.

2026 DOWN AND CONNOR PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES As our pilgrims and Youth Team gather in Lourdes, we continue we wish them every blessing during their pilgrimage.  We join our prayers with theirs, and we remember especially those who are sick.  The Grotto Mass can be viewed online at 7.30am Irish time, this  Saturday 11th July. The rosary is prayed in English at the Grotto every day at 3pm, also available online .  https://directfromlourdes.com/lourdes_live_tv. Our Lady of Lourdes, and St Bernadette, pray for us.

Catholic Men’s Retreat: A Catholic Men’s Retreat Standing in the Breach: Freedom in Christ, will take place in  Portglenone Monastery on Saturday 25th July from 9am-1pm. The keynote speaker will be Dr Robert McNamara, and the morning will be an opportunity for men to come together for prayer, encouragement, fellowship and renewal in the Catholic faith. 24 Hours of Prayer for Vocations
Feast of St John Vianney. The Parish of St Colmcille, 191a Upper Newtownards Road
Belfast BT4 3JB  3–4 August. Join us for 24 Hours of Prayer for Vocations to the Diocesan Priesthood, beginning with Holy Mass at 7.00pm on Monday 3 August and concluding with Holy Mass at 7.00pm on Tuesday 4 August.  Throughout the 24 hours, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Eucharistic Adoration, with opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Everyone is warmly invited to come and pray for an increase in vocations to the diocesan priesthood. Whether you stay for an hour, attend Mass, or simply drop in to pray, your presence and prayers are greatly appreciated.
