The Pastoral Parish Council held its first Parish Open Meeting on Tuesday 22nd September. It was a positive and productive night with over 30 Parishioners attending to hear about prior pastoral work and plans for the coming year. There were many comments and suggestions which will be taken forward to the next meeting of the Council and an outline of plans for the coming year will be published. Many thanks to Casement Social Club for their hospitality and to all Parishioners who attended.

St Michael the Archangel Parish Golden Jubilee Celebrations. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of St Michael the Archangel Parish, we invite our parishioners and parish family to save the following dates as we look forward to 5 days of Jubilee events this September. Jubilee Masses Saturday 26th September at 5.00pm & Sunday 27th September at 11.00am. These special Jubilee Masses will be followed by refreshments in the Parish Hall.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Down and Connor Diocese is renewing and developing its Diocesan Adoration Lay Committee in order to increase the practice of Eucharistic Adoration in parishes throughout the diocese. You are welcome to attend an Information Meeting at ONE of these venues:

St Malachy’s College presents a concert on Saturday 3rd October at 7pm in the College Hall. Distinguished past pupils will perform (classical, traditional and jazz) to honour three former teachers – Frs Kevin and Brendan McMullan and Mrs Mary Mallon. Our Lady’s Rosary Festival will take place from 12th to 18th October 2026. Join us for a week of events to honour Our Blessed Lady, ending with the annual Belfast Rosary Procession. The procession will leave St Malachy’s Church, Belfast City Centre, at 2.30pm on Sunday 18th October, and finish at St Peter’s Cathedral. PATHWAYS ADULT FAITH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME The Pathways Adult Faith Development programme for 2026-2027 begins on Saturday, 10 October at Drumalis in Larne. The programme takes place one Saturday a month from 10 am – 4 pm between October and June and is offered in-house at Drumalis. All are welcome. Past participants may also be interested in the new programme on offer for this coming year. It is also possible to attend for individual days only.
