What’s on Locally…
Teaching in China with AITECE AITECE is an organisation which sends suitable candidates to teach English or other subjects to third-level students in China. They are currently looking for mature teachers who are open to spending at least one year teaching English in China and who are willing to share their values with Chinese students. Qualifications needed are: A basic degree or its equivalent; some teaching experience; a TEFL course is highly recommended. The contract is for one school year and can be renewed. No previous knowledge of Mandarin is required, but candidates will have an opportunity to learn the language while they are in China. Fr. Alan McGuckian SJ (Living Church) will con-celebrate a bi-lingual Mass at 10am on St. Patrick’s Day (Tuesday 17th March) in St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Glenveagh Drive, Lenadoon. Please come along and use whatever Irish you have. Prayers and hymns will be projected onto a big screen to help. Refreshments will be served in the Parish Hall afterwards. St Patrick’s Day
Climb Slemish on St Patrick’s Day, after 11am Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Braid BT42 7JS. You are welcome to join a group which celebrates St Patrick’s Day by walking around 12 miles. Refreshments available in Braid Old School. Consider getting some sponsors and donate funds to Trocaire’s Lenten Campaign.
