Cyclone Idai swept through Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi 2 weeks ago

destroying almost everything in its path and causing devastating floods. Over 300 people have lost their lives with many thousands more injured and struggling to survive while the rescue teams try to reach them. It is estimated that 2.5 million people are affected across the three countries. As well as leaving people in need of shelter and food, Trócaire has warned that the long-term effects of the cyclone will be devastating as entire crops have been destroyed. There will be huge food shortages in the months ahead. Trócaire is urgently responding to the crisis by working with local partners to provide humanitarian relief such as shelter, food and water. We will continue to work with people in the affected communities as they seek to rebuild their lives in the months ahead after the flood water has subsided. Thank you for your continuing generosity and support to allow us to help those people most in need at this time.

ROSARY AT THE GROTTOS

Join thousands of people around Ireland as we go to our local Grottos to pray the Rosary each day during the month of May at 8pm ( unless otherwise stated).
