\u00a0CHILDREN\u2019S LITURGY<\/span> will continue this Sunday at the 9:30am Mass and will take place each Sunday throughout the season of Lent.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

ONE DAY PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK ON THE SOLEMNITY OF ST JOSEPH <\/span><\/span><\/strong>The bus is now FULL. \u00a0Thank you all for your support and interest in the pilgrimage. Please keep the pilgrimage in your prayers as we travel to Knock to celebrate the Solemnity of St Joseph.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Volunteer Needed:<\/span> Website & Social Media St Agnes\u2019 Church is looking for a volunteer \u2014 ideally a young person studying IT at school or in further\/higher education \u2014 to help keep our website and social media updated with parish news and events. The role involves light, occasional online updates and is a great way to gain practical experience. <\/span><\/strong>If you\u2019d like to use your skills to support parish life, we\u2019d be glad to hear from you. MIGRANT COLLECTION 2026<\/span> The Council for Migrants, Refugees and Justice and Peace thanks dioceses for supporting the Migrants Collection in 2025. The collection will take place again on St Patrick\u2019s Day 2026. This Collection will help support migrants in Ireland and Irish people living abroad. As Pope Leo XIV reminds us in his Message for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees 2025, the presence of migrants among us is \u201ca true divine blessing\u2026 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it\u201d (Heb 13:2).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

SYCAMORE<\/span>\u00a0What do you believe?\u00a0 The Black Mountain Family of Parishes continues with the series of presentations for those interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith this Lent. Everyone is welcome to all or any of the next 4 Wednesday meetings in\u00a0 St Teresa\u2019s Parish Centre\u00a0 starting with a cup of tea at 7pm.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

PIONEER PLEDGE FOR LENT<\/span> This Lent, consider taking the Pioneer Pledge. Abstaining from alcohol is more than a personal sacrifice. It is a prayerful act of solidarity with those living under the shadow of addiction \u2014 and with their families. By offering up this sacrifice, we place our Lenten journey in the Heart of Christ and ask Him to bring hope, healing, and freedom. You may be the first person in your family, school, or workplace to take this step. Your witness may quietly encourage others. Further information regarding the Lenten Pledge may be found at www.pioneers.ie<\/a> where a short-term Lenten Pledge may also be taken online. The words of the pledge are as follows: \u201cI promise, in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to abstain from alcoholic drinks during Lent.\u201d <\/i><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Parish Pastoral Council<\/span> met again on Thursday 26th Feb, to confirm the 3 year Plan for Parish development. This had resulted from work on many suggestions and personal priorities for the Parish and fell into 5 broad areas: 1. Communications\u00a02.Social & Community 3.Faith Development 4.Liturgy & Prayer 5.Parish Facilities.\u00a0 For further information please see the Plan on the website. ACCORD<\/span> Catholic Marriage Care Service CLG\/NI is currently recruiting volunteers to train as marriage preparation programme facilitators to support couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage. The marriage preparation programmes are fun and interactive and very popular with couples. Catholic Men\u2019s Retreat<\/span> – Standing in the Breach A morning retreat for Catholic men will take place at Portglenone Monastery on Saturday 14 March from 9am to 1pm. The theme will focus on spiritual warfare and remaining steadfast in faith during Lent, with a talk by Fr Martin Graham, along with testimonies from Catholic laity.
