Sunday of the Word of God 2026 will be celebrated this Sunday\u00a0 January 25, 2026, the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time, with the theme \u201cThe word of Christ dwells among you\u201d (Colossians 3:16). Instituted by Pope Francis in 2019, this day highlights the central role of Sacred Scripture in Christian life. It encourages Catholics to read, learn, pray and share God\u2019s Word\u00a0 helping us deepen our faith and place the Bible at the heart of the Church and daily life.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

RISE & SHINE <\/span>\u2013 this collection will be held on the weekend of 21st\/22nd February. Your support will help make it possible for children to travel to Lourdes this Easter.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The award was presented at a special ceremony held in St Mary\u2019s University College on 21 January by Bishop Alan McGuckian, in recognition of the school\u2019s commitment to nurturing the spiritual and prayer life of its community.
