CHILDREN\u2019S LITURGY will continue this Sunday throughout lent at the 9.30am Mass. It\u2019s a chance for young children to understand the gospel message with their peers. All primary school children welcome!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

DEFIBRILLATOR A defibrillator has been installed in the east entrance\/ exit hall ( left hand side of Disabled W\/C) Please take note of location in case of cardiac arrest emergency. May we offer a sincere thanks to the benefactor Sean Canning who has purchased this life saving\u00a0 equipment in memory of his wife Pat.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

SHAMROCK A big thank you to the parishioners of St Agnes whose donations of\u00a0 over \u00a3630.00\u00a0will go towards helping a young person’s journey to meet Pope Francis in Rome.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

ST OLIVER PLUNKETT PARISH<\/span> Understanding the Mass – Lenten Talks – This Lent why not make a commitment to \u2019take up\u2019 something as you journey through Lent. Join us in St Oliver Plunkett Parish each Tuesday night throughout Lent at 7pm to grow in our Understanding of the Mass. These evening will begin with a short prayer, then a video of about 6-10mins long on different topics of the Mass, followed by a discussion and Q&A ending with a prayer and Tea\/Coffee for those who wish to stay on afterwards. Everyone is welcomed. Guided Adoration and Night Prayer\u00a0 Each Wednesday during Lent why not join us in St Oliver Plunkett Parish for a Holy Hour 7pm – 8pm concluding with Night Prayer of the Church. A beautiful way to add that extra spiritual dimension to this years Lenten journey. All are welcomed.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

SENSORY MASS<\/span> There will be a Sensory Friendly Mass at St Colmcille’s Church,\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Ballyhackamore, Belfast,\u00a0 on\u00a0Saturday 29th\u00a0March at 10.00am.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We welcome and embrace neurodiverse persons and those with sensory needs, both young and older. Join us for a sensory friendly liturgy, which includes lower lights, softer music, and literal homilies. Feel free to get up and move if needed, bring alternative seating, use quiet fidgets or noise cancelling headphones. Come celebrate the Eucharist in an environment free of stigma. PILGRIMS OF HOPE<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a024 Hours for the Lord A key moment in this Jubilee Year 2025 is the celebration of \u201c24 hours for the Lord\u201d. This is an initiative of Pope Francis who writes, \u201cspecial care should be taken to prepare priests and faithful to celebrate the sacrament of Confession and to make it readily available in its individual form<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In Down and Connor \u201c24 Hours for the Lord\u201d will be celebrated on Saturday, 29th March, in three centres:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

St Mary\u2019s Church, Belfast, from 11.00am until 5.30pm; (No midday confessions in St Agnes that day)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

All Saints Church, Ballymena, from 12 noon until 5.30pm;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

St Patrick\u2019s, Church Downpatrick. 10.30am until 4.00pm.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Priests will be available for confession throughout those times indicated. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is part of the programme for the jubilee year of hope.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
