He affirms the inherent dignity of human life. that must be upheld and protected. This core belief compels us to firmly reject assisted suicide.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In these challenging times, Bishop Alan encourages us to\u00a0pray for those who are terminally ill and their families, that they may find comfort and support. We can actively support initiatives that enhance palliative and hospice care services in our local areas. We can also make our voices heard by writing to our Members of Parliament ahead of the upcoming vote and sharing the Church&#8217;s teachings on human dignity with clarity and compassion.
