Mary\u2019s Meals<\/span> A heartfelt thank you from Mary\u2019s Meals for the\u00a0\u00a35,425.76\u00a0that was raised during the recent parish collection. This precious gift will enable\u00a0283 children\u00a0<\/i>to receive a daily meal at school for a full year and gain hope of a better future through education. Thank you for your generosity and please continue to keep our work in your prayers. Also, we welcome anyone interested in volunteering (totally flexible, as and when you can, and full support given) . We would love to set up a new West Belfast volunteer group based in St Agnes. A wide variety of activities available to choose from including helping us to give talks, to fundraise, to plan events, to distribute collection cans and leaflets, to take part in bucket collections and even to share any crafting skills\/items at events and fairs. November anniversary and Month’s Mind Masses<\/span> Please ensure if you need to book an anniversary or month\u2019s mind Mass during November, we will only do these at the weekend. Masses during the week are devoted to Masses for the dead. Thankyou.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

St Agnes Spred Group<\/span><\/span> SPRED offers adults with learning disabilities friendship, spiritual development and a sense of belonging to a parish group. We meet every fortnight in St Agnes\u2019 Parish Hall, 10a St Agnes\u2019 Drive. We welcome new members to join us. Contact Caoimhe McCann on 07969224037 to find out more<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0MASS FOR DECEASED<\/span> The November Mass for Deceased will take place on Monday 18th November at 7pm. Parishioners who lost a loved one in the past year should be receiving a letter of invite in the post soon. There is no need to reply, just turn up on the night to our remembrance Mass for your loved one. Everyone is welcome.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

OCTOBER IS MISSION MONTH Mission is a matter of the Heart that welcomes the Kingdom. Blessed Pauline Jaricot discovered this in her life of prayer and summed it up so well. \u201c Prayer is he Kingdom of God within us. May our hearts be overwhelmed by the infinite love of Jesus Christ!\u201d. Mission is also a question of proclaiming the Kingdom of God, who is always close, loving, and merciful.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i>Prison Week\u00a013th<\/sup>\u00a0to 19th<\/sup>\u00a0October 2024\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Aims to gather the Church in prayer for the needs of all those affected by prisons: prisoners and their families, victims of crime and their communities, those working in the criminal justice system and the many people caring for those affected by crime inside and outside of our prisons. The theme for this year is \u2013\u00a0Jesus looked at him and love him<\/i>. This year we invite you to remember that he looks at you and loves you, as he looks at them and loves them. Fr Stephen would ask that you take a few minutes out of your day to pray the prison week prayer.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lord, you offer freedom to all people.\u00a0 We pray for those in prison.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Break the bonds of fear and isolation that exist. Support with your love prisoners and their families and friends, prison staff and all who care.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Heal those who have been wounded by the actions of others,<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

especially the victims of crime. Help us to forgive one another, to act justly,<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

love mercy and walk humbly together with Christ in his strength and in his Spirit, now and every day.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
