Today is Pentecost Sunday. This is the day that God sent to us a helper after Jesus returned to our Heavenly Father. The helper is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our advocate in all our times of hardships and comfort. He will keep reminding us of everything that Jesus taught us while He was here on earth. He will also be providing good counsel always when we fall into temptations.
Jesus, today, is sending the Holy Spirit to us and at the same time sending us forth to the world to proclaim the Good News. He knows that it will not be an easy task to proclaim the Gospel to the world. The world is full of evil and persecutions. The Holy Spirit will be with us to strengthen our faith and hope when face turbulence from the evil one.
Our clergy are today being given the powers to help us in penance. Jesus has advanced the powers of absolution to our Bishops and Priests. Let us seize this golden opportunity and always go to confession as often as possible without fear of being scorned by Non-Catholics.<\/strong><\/span>
Prayer:<\/strong> <\/span>Come, Holy Spirit, Father of the poor!
Come, source of all our store!
Come, within our bosoms shine.
You, of comforters the best;

The fiftieth anniversary of the death of Fr Noel Fitzpatrick<\/span><\/strong> occurs on 9th<\/sup> of July 2022.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mark this anniversary, Bishop Treanor will celebrate Mass at 11am on Sunday 3rd<\/sup> July at St Peter\u2019s Cathedral.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday 8th<\/sup> July, the family of Fr Noel wish to invite you to Mass in St MacNissi\u2019s Church, Magherahoney (Parish of Loughguile) where Fr Noel is buried.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mass at 7.30pm will be followed by refreshments in the Parish Hall where photographs and items related to Fr Noel will be on display.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All are invited to participate in these two events..<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTr\u00f3caire <\/strong><\/span>are very pleased to announce that a total of \u00a312,886 was kindly donated to their Lenten Appeal at the \u201cHope Springs Eternal\u201d concert at Clonard Monastery, Belfast on Friday 20th<\/sup> May. These funds will be doubled by the UK government and will support Tr\u00f3caire\u2019s work in Zimbabwe.
