Annual Diocesan Collection for the Education of our Student Priests <\/b>( Sunday 17th May 2015) <\/b>This year our diocese has ten students in training for the priesthood. Fr Andrew Black has just been ordained. Rev Conor Mc Carthy will be ordained in June. James O\u2019 Reilly will be ordained deacon later this month. The other students are Manuelito, Tony, James, \u00a0 \u00a0 Michael, Kevin, Christopher and Stiofan. The second collection on the feast of the Ascension is the yearly collection for the education of our student priests. Thank you for your support of this collection last year. Your continued support of this annual church collection on Sunday 17th May is again requested. Your financial contribution is another concrete way of supporting our students as they journey towards priesthood for service in our parishes<\/p>\n
New Pastoral Communities: <\/b>\u00a0In January the Diocese launched a consultation on how parishes might best work together in the future. Bishop Treanor supported by the Living Church Office received feedback from groups and individuals across the diocese. The consultation closed with four regional meetings. The bishop has announced the makeup of 13 new pastoral communities. Please read a copy of the document which is available as you leave the church,\u00a0 or on the diocesan website.<\/p>\n
Pentecost Sunday 24 May 2015\u00a0 <\/b>The Diocesan Commission for Religious <\/i>Invite you to an afternoon of Prayer and Reflection in St Paul\u2019s Church, Falls Road, Belfast on Pentecost Sunday, 24th May, from 3pm-4.15pm. <\/b>People from other countries living in Northern Ireland will share their experiences. Come along with your friends and share this afternoon with us. Light refreshments will be served in the Pastoral Centre at 4.15pm.<\/i> Parking available in St. Dominic\u2019s car park.<\/p>\n
