The theme is Breathe\u2026 The Hebrew word Ruach means \u2018breath\u2019 or \u2018spirit\u2019 \u2013 the source of life, and the festival aims to breathe hope and creativity into Belfast and further afield at a very difficult time. The keynote speaker is Prof John Paul Lederach, the internationally renowned author and conflict transformation expert from the University of Notre Dame in the United States. Morning and Night Prayer will be streamed throughout the festival. Night Prayer will be led by Jim Deeds, a pastoral worker in Down and Connor and his colleague, Paula McKeown, Director of the Diocesan Living Church Office, will facilitate a workshop on resilience. There is a sense of hurry; the time has come, the kingdom of God is near, and Jesus needs helpers to work alongside him. Simon, Andrew, James and John are certainly ready, so ready that they are prepared to leave behind their livelihoods, and even their families, to attend to the urgent business of spreading the Good News.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #434356;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0 Jesus asks the same of us, his modern-day disciples: \u2018Follow me\u2019. We are summoned too. We are challenged to set aside our worldly concerns, to see the world in a new way, and to begin a new adventure with Jesus. For every person in our world who is suffering or oppressed or in need, there is a \u2018fierce urgency of now\u2019. The work of the kingdom is too immediate to wait.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #434356;\"><em>\u2018<span style=\"color: #000000;\">This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilising drug of gradualism.
