Please refer to our website for updates.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222;\"><span style=\"color: #202124;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Prayer Service on 1st November<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>This Sunday, 1<\/span><sup style=\"color: #222222;\">st<\/sup><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0November, the bishops and priests of Ireland will lead a short service of prayer to dedicate the month of November to \u2018Remembrance of the Dead and Prayer for the Bereaved\u2019.\u00a0 \u00a0The whole country is invited to unite in this moment which will be followed by parish liturgies throughout the month of November, reaching out as much as possible to those who cannot be physically present. \u00a0\u00a0A Cross and\/or an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary may be prominently placed as a focus of devotion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"color: #222222;\">Bishop Noel will lead the Service of Prayer on 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0November in St Peter\u2019s Cathedral<\/b><span style=\"color: #222222;\">\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #222222;\">at 7pm.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"color: #222222;\">All parishioners are invited to participate via webcam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Each diocese in Ireland is dedicating the month of November as a month of Prayer and Remembrance for the Dead and for the Comfort of the Bereaved. We are all facing a long winter, one where we will not be able to gather to celebrate one of the most favourite times of the year, yes our beloved Christmas. Santa this year is going to have to practice social distancing \u2013 staying away from all of us as much as he can to ensure that on his journey around the world he doesn\u2019t become a super spreader of the Corona virus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #757575;\">But what about our Carol Services and Carol Concerts? Are we going to loose them this year. Surely Christmas can\u2019t happen with out the sounds of Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls? The reality is for 2020 we are going to have to park these events, hopefully we will be able to celebrate them in person again in 2021, right now it is simply too dangerous to bring large groups of people together.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #757575;\">With this in mind\u00a0I am inviting you to come along and be part of the biggest Virtual Choir event that has ever happened. A Virtual Carol Event, 14 songs, many of which are new arrangements of traditional songs are ready for your vocal skills. Myself and the amazingly talented people I record with here in Ireland have been preparing tracks for you all to sing along to. Once we have gathered who is interested we will look at dividing up the songs between those who are signed up (I am not sure everyone will be up for doing 18 songs, but if you are you are welcome to).<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #757575;\">When registration closes, you will be sent instructions to download the learning and recording tracks along with sheet music and strict instructions too follow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #757575;\">Then in your own time, you record your vocal parts and once you have them all done and are happy with how you look and sound, send them to us via WeTransfer.com. Don\u2019t worry all details will be included in your email and it can all be done from your phone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #757575;\">Recordings need to be submitted by 11pm November 20th (again your local time).<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #757575;\">Once all files have been received here by me, we will begin to make the magic happen.
