{"id":1699,"date":"2020-08-21T08:37:56","date_gmt":"2020-08-21T08:37:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stagnesbelfast.com\/?p=1699"},"modified":"2020-08-21T09:18:59","modified_gmt":"2020-08-21T09:18:59","slug":"st-agnes-parish-bulletin-23rd-august-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stagnesbelfast.com\/?p=1699","title":{"rendered":"St Agnes Parish Bulletin 23rd August 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Parish News&#8230;<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Masses<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Masses<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">are continuing on our normal schedule and we thank those who have been coming to clean the Church seats and carpets.\u00a0 We also thank those helping to facilitate the congregation in following the present health procedures.\u00a0 Those attending Mass must also be complimented on how they follow the procedures &#8211; especially the one-way system to enter and exit the Church and the row-by-row Holy Communion procession.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">As those attending Mass will be aware, more volunteers are needed to help out both at Masses and with the cleaning of the Church.\u00a0 Those willing to assist are asked to give their names to the sacristan or to the Parish Office.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">UPDATED RECOMMENDATION<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">FACE COVERINGS IN CHURCHES<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Church leaders, including Archbishop Eamon Martin, following recent consultations with public health authorities, are formally recommending and encouraging the use of face coverings at all Masses and other liturgical celebrations, along with the ongoing maintenance of 2 metre physical distancing, from Sunday 30<sup>th<\/sup> August 2020, and earlier if practicable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It should however be noted that some people are exempt from the wearing of face coverings, as outlined in public health agency guidance:<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nidirect.gov.uk\/articles\/coronavirus-covid-19-face-coverings\">https:\/\/www.nidirect.gov.uk\/articles\/coronavirus-covid-19-face-coverings<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It has become increasingly clear that the wearing of face coverings, in conjunction with hand washing etc, is likely to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, thus helping to protect others.
