Masses<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

Masses<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>are continuing on our normal schedule and we thank those who have been coming to clean the Church seats and carpets.\u00a0 We also thank those helping to facilitate the congregation in following the present health procedures.\u00a0 Those attending Mass must also be complimented on how they follow the procedures – especially the one-way system to enter and exit the Church and the row-by-row Holy Communion procession.<\/span>
\nAs those attending Mass will be aware, more volunteers are needed to help out both at Masses and with the cleaning of the Church.\u00a0 Those willing to assist are asked to give their names to the sacristan or to the Parish Office.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Accord Marriage Preparation.<\/span> Courses are available to book online, please check www.accord.ie and select a place and time. If you have booked a wedding ceremony in the parish, you are expected to have completed a preparation course<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION<\/span> On the Assumption of Mary into Heaven The feast of the Assumption of Mary is a call to each of us, especially those who are afflicted by doubt and sadness, and live with their gaze turned down, unable to raise their glance. Let us look up. Heaven is open. It does not inculcate fear. It is no longer distant because on the threshold of Heaven, a mother, our mother, is awaiting us. She loves us, she smiles at us and she thoughtfully assists us. Like every mother she wants the best for her children and she says to us: \u2018You are precious in God\u2019s eyes; you were not made for the small satisfactions of the world, but rather for the great joy of heaven\u2019. Yes, because God is joy, not boredom. God is joy. Let us allow Our Lady to take us by the hand. Each time that we hold the Rosary in our hands and pray to her, we are taking a step forward, towards the great destination of life.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Growth in Prayer and Reflective Living<\/span><\/i><\/b>
\n<\/span><\/b>Drumalis, Larne \u2013 commencing Monday, 14 September (online by Zoom)<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n


\n<\/span>Due to the success of last year\u2019s course, applications are now being accepted for the new intake of this one-year programme for those who want a closer relationship with God.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0Living out faith isn’t easy against the backdrop of our fast-paced, noisy and instantaneous culture.
