Certain sections of the Church are cordoned off and a one-way system is in operation.\u00a0\u00a0All visitors are asked to strictly observe social distancing rules and only occupy the marked seating. You will be able to visit the shrines to light candles and pray.\u00a0 We will have sanitiser and towels for your use entering and leaving and there are posters with some necessary advise in place, please read the information to keep you and others safe.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>All visitors to our church for private prayer are asked to note No communal recitation of prayers led by and at the initiative of any individual (e.g. the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet etc) should take place during the time the church is open for private prayer<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The Church toilets are unavailable.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Parish Collections<\/span><\/strong> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">We are very much aware of the difficulties families are currently facing with personal finances. Several parishioners have contacted us with concerns as to how they continue to financially support our parish. We are most appreciative for the donations we have received, and we would be grateful for your continued support. As many of you know, it helps us to pay our bills, allows to support our employees during this health crisis<\/span>.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Using the donate button on our home page, you can use your bank debit or credit card to donate straight to us. Alternatively, you can continue to put your contributions into envelopes and\u00a0 save them all until we are opened again and we can receive them all in the weekly plate. God Bless you all.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Down and Connor Diocesan Triduum<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hannahstownparish.com\/wpimages\/wp71a325cc_05_06.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Following on from the successful Diocesan Novena earlier this month, the Diocese of Down and Connor will close the month of May with a Triduum of Prayer to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. \u00a0In the Christian tradition Pentecost is known as the Birthday of the Church. \u00a0Over these three days, prayers will be offered for the Family (the Domestic Church), our local Parishes and Pastoral Communities (the Local Church), and for the mission of all Christians in the world (the Universal Church).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Triduum will run from Friday 29<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0May until Sunday 31<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0May.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Bishop Noel Treanor warmly invites everyone to join with him as he leads the prayers on-line via the webcam (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.churchservices.tv\/stpeterscathedral\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">www.churchservices.tv\/stpeterscathedral<\/span><\/a>) from St Peter\u2019s Cathedral in Belfast.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Each evening will begin at 7.00 pm and will last approximately 15 minutes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Intentions may be sent by email to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:novena@downandconnor.org\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">novena@downandconnor.org<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and they will be placed in front of the altar and included in the prayers each evening.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A booklet of the prayers being used in the Triduum can be requested using email address above.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Remember in Prayer&#8230;<\/em><\/span><\/h1>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Those whose anniversaries occur at this time:<\/span> Fr Harry Carlin,\u00a0 Sr Ultan Smyth OP, Joanne Mc Closkey,\u00a0<\/strong>Thomas Straney, Mary Keenan, Bernadette Devlin, John &amp; Margaret Laverty, Ester Martin, Michael Jones.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Prayer for Our Families And all families<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0we need God: all of us! We need his help, his strength, his blessing, his mercy, his forgiveness. And we need simplicity to pray as a family: simplicity is necessary! Praying the Our Father together around the table, is not something extraordinary: it\u2019s easy. And praying the Rosary together as a family is very beautiful and a source of great strength! And also praying for one another! The husband for his wife, the wife for her husband, both together for their children, the children for their grandparents\u2026praying for each other.
