Following the decision of the NI Executive to permit the reopening of cemeteries, Milltown Cemetery will reopen with a limited timetable for the foreseeable future.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n This is based on the need for burials to continue while adhering to the restriction of ten people at a burial.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The Cemetery will open\u00a0<\/span>on Sunday 26 April<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and following Sundays\u00a0<\/span>from 10am until 4pm<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Thereafter, from\u00a0Monday to Saturday, it will open\u00a0<\/span>from 2pm until 5pm<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Access will be mostly restricted to pedestrians only for the time being with the exception of a limited number of cars, for those who cannot walk long distances.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n The Cemetery Office will remain closed. \n<\/span>As highlighted in the Decree of the Apostolic Penitentiary and stated by the Holy Father in his Homily of 20 March 2020, it is vitally important that the faithful know that if they cannot access confession, then, by making an act of sorrow, by being truly contrite for all their sins with the intention not to sin anymore, and with the intention of going to confession as soon as is possible, they are reconciled with God and obtain the forgiveness of their sins, even mortal sins.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Bishop Noel Treanor<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n
