WEST BELFAST HISTORICAL SOCIETY is meeting on Friday the 12th of May at 7.30pm in St. Michael’s Parish Centre on Finaghy Road North (Access via Church Gateway on Finaghy Road North just before the garage opposite the Church at junction with the Andersonstown Road). The May talk is entitled “A GERMAN FAMILY DURING WW2”
Lough Derg 2017:- Season opens for One Day Retreats on Monday 1st May. Retreats continue on May 7, 9, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 & 29. Advance booking is essential. St Oliver’s Pilgrim Walk is organised by the Knights of St Columbanus and involves a pilgrim walk around Drogheda’s 7 beautiful churches ( 3.2Km) . It takes place this year on Friday May 26th and Saturday May 27th starting at Our Lady of Lourdes Church via, St Peter’s Church of Ireland, Augustinian Church, St Mary’s, Holy Family Church, St Mary Magdalene’s Dominican Church and finishing at St Peter’s Church where the Shrine of St Oliver Plunkett and his holy relics are located. Pilgrims can complete the walk on either day between 10.30am and 4.30pm or can be completed over the two days. For further details contact www.stolierswalk.com
