ANOTHER IDEA FOR A LENTEN RESOLUTION? Free Apps: Laudate; Universalis; Sacred Space (daily Mass readings, prayers and reflections)

St. Patrick’s Day bi-lingual Mass Join parishioners at St. Oliver Plunkett’s church in Lenadoon and start St. Patrick’s Day the traditional way – by going to Mass in our native language. Living Church Director, Fr. Alan McGuckian (SJ) will con-celebrate a bi-lingual Mass at 10.00am. It is a great opportunity to celebrate our national Saint and also use however much (or little) of the Irish that we have. Prayers and hymns in Irish will be on a large screen so everyone can join in. Visitors from other parishes are particularly welcome. There will be refreshments afterwards in the Parish Hall and a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Tá fáilte roimh gach duine!

LENTEN  PIONEER  PLEDGE Many people choose to abstain from alcohol during Lent.  Why not take this opportunity to help someone you know with an alcohol or drug problem by offering your sacrifice for their freedom from addiction?  Take the short term Lenten Pledge and make a difference to someone’s life. Register your pledge with local Pioneers or the D & C office, tel. no. 02890 894070 or Ian 02890 616601. Please give your name, address and contact no.Prayer: “I promise in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary to abstain from all alcoholic drink until the end of Lent.”
