Trocaire Boxes will be available at entrances/exits. Please take one home.

 CONFIRMATION will be celebrated this Thursday 6th March by Bishop Alan Mc Guckian SJ. at 4pm.

N.B There will be no Eucharistic Adoration that day.

PLEDGE FOR LENT Pope Francis has invited us this Lent to “journey in hope together”.  A short-term pledge is available via www.pioneerassociation.org for parishioners who wish to become a “pilgrim of hope” for people who are living under the shadow of addiction

WHAT’S  ON…

ST MICHAEL’S PARISH Will have a 7am Mass Monday to Friday throughout Lent. All welcome.

DAY OF PRAYER FOR VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF ABUSE. Pope Francis has invited Bishops around the world to establish a special day of prayer in the Church year, to support the journey of human and spiritual recovery. This day is not only for victims and survivors who have been so severely injured, either inside or outside our Church, but also for the families and communities affected by grief for their loved ones.  Within Down and Connor, mass will be celebrated on FRIDAY 7th March in Saint Patrick’s Church, Donegall Street, at 1pm, to pray for and remember victims and survivors of abuse within our Church. At this mass the Candle of Atonement will be lit.  There is an open invitation to attend this important Diocesan event

“HOPE” – A Retreat for those Discerning the Priesthood Are you considering the call the priesthood? Join us for the Vocation to the Priesthood Retreat from 7th –9th March at Drumalis Retreat Centre, Larne. To book a place please contact the Vocations Director : Fr Conor Mc Grath at c.mcgrath@\doenandconnor.org Let us all continue to pray for vocations in our diocese.

ST OLIVER PLUNKETT PARISH Understanding the Mass – Lenten Talks – This Lent why not make a commitment to ’take up’ something as you journey through Lent. Join us in St Oliver Plunkett Parish each Tuesday night throughout Lent at 7pm to grow in our Understanding of the Mass. These evening will begin with a short prayer, then a video of about 6-10mins long on different topics of the Mass, followed by a discussion and Q&A ending with a prayer and Tea/Coffee for those who wish to stay on afterwards. Everyone is welcomed. Guided Adoration and Night Prayer  Each Wednesday during Lent why not join us in St Oliver Plunkett Parish for a Holy Hour 7pm – 8pm concluding with Night Prayer of the Church. A beautiful way to add that extra spiritual dimension to this years Lenten journey. All are welcomed. 

RECHARGE is a young adult group based in Down and Connor for those aged 18 to 35. The group meet twice monthly on the first and third Tuesday of each month to “recharge” the spiritual batteries through Adoration, intellectual formation and social gatherings.  We will be meeting on Tuesday the 4th and 18th of March at 7.30pm in St Colmcille’s Church, Ballyhackamore. All welcome!

Anam Cara, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, will hold its monthly Parent Support Evening on Monday 10th March at 7.30pm in the Crowne Plaza, Shaws Bridge, Belfast.
