ST AGNES’ WALKING CLUB
The AGM will take place on Tuesday 13th September at 7.00 pm in Fruithill Bowling Club, Andersonstown Road.
New members are offered the opportunity to sample three walks free of charge before paying the annual membership fee of £5 per annum which is collected at our AGM in September. We meet every Saturday morning at 10.30 am at Andersonstown Leisure Centre. On the first Saturday of each month there is a more challenging Hillwalk. The walker should wear comfortable clothes and suitable shoes that are appropriate to the weather conditions. New members welcome!

FAITH AND LIFE CONVENTIONThe third Diocesan Faith and Life Convention will be held on Saturday, 24th September in Our Lady and St Patrick’s College, Knock. Details of speakers, workshops and early-bird deals can be found on the website: faithandliftconvention.org. The Faith and Life Convention is a forum for people from across the diocese, and beyond, to gather together and take part in a range of conversations about the meaning of faith and it’s relevance to every area of our lives. Sarah Teather, of the Jesuit Refugee Service, will be the keynote speaker and will invite us to reflect on the current refugee crisis. Each participant can attend two workshops which will be booked on a first come, first served basis. Early booking is essential and will cost £25 per person. The convention is now an annual event in the Diocese with 500 people taking part. Strongly recommended as a good and informative day

Retired Teachers urgently needed, one morning per week, in West, North and South Belfast “The children’s special needs charity Sólás has a number of volunteering opportunities, for Retired Teachers, to provide 1:1 support to children, with additional educational needs, in primary schools in West, North and South Belfast. One morning per week, during term time, is required and full induction and ongoing support will be provided.
