PRAYER FOR FAMILIES God, Our Father, loving and merciful, bring together and keep all families in perfect unity of love and mutual support. Instil in each member the spirit of understanding and affection for each other. Keep quarrels and bitterness far from them, and for their occasional failures instil forgiveness and peace. May the mutual love and affection of parents set a good example. Instil in children self-respect that they may respect others and grow in mature independence. May the mutual affection and respect of families be a sign of Christian life here and hereafter, through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Amen.

This year’s Féile 10/5k run will be taking place on Sunday 4th August, leaving Malone Integrated College Finaghy Rd Nth at 9am and finishing back at the Malone Integrated College, at approximately 11am. We anticipate up to 1200 runners participating in the event on the day. Féile has already engaged a traffic management company to help manage the event, and as well as a coordinated traffic plan being in place, we will also have a comprehensive stewarding and management plan in operation to minimise any potential disruption. If you have any queries in relation to the event, or would like to speak to a member of the event team, please do not hesitate to contact either Gerry or myself . CARAVAGGIO’S PAINTINGS AT THE ULSTER MUSEUM Two famous paintings by the artist Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1571-1610) are currently on display in the Ulster Museum. ‘The Supper at Emmaus’ (1601) is on loan from the National Gallery in London, and ‘The Taking of Christ’ is on loan from the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin. Both paintings very rarely travel, and they have hardly ever been seen together, since the first quarter of the 17th century. The bringing together of these two artworks gives everyone a rare chance to see these masterpieces. The exhibition continues until 1st September 2024, at the Ulster Museum. Admission is free, and you do not need to book. The paintings are well worth seeing
