32 HOURS OF ADORATION In this year which is dedicated to the Diocesan Priesthood the Legion of Mary will hold 32 hours of Eucharistic Adoration in St Agnes’ Church, beginning on Friday 4th August (Feast day of St John Vianney Patron Saint of Parish Priests) after 10am Mass and finishing on Saturday 5th August at 6.15pm (before vigil mass which is at 6.30pm) Please come along and pray in thanksgiving for our Priests and for our future priests.

Mary’s Meals Summer Celebration Event
Mary’s Meals is a charity that feeds over 2.4 million children daily at school in some of the world’s poorest countries. On Saturday 19th August, you are invited to an evening of entertainment at Grace Hall, Craigavon, BT67 9ND including a Speedquiz (1 smart phone per team required), children’s activities, live music, light snacks and refreshments (BYOB), raffle and merchandise stall. Free event and all welcome to attend. Event runs from 6pm -12am. There is a bus leaving Clonard Monastery Car Park (£10 per person return) at 5.30pm on the day. LIGHT THE FIRE AT SLANE ON SUNDAY 6th AUGUST IN THE SPIRIT OF ST PATRICK!! Everyone and all ages are very welcome!! Bus leaving 10am sharp from St Michael The Archangel Church on Sunday 6th August, with a short stop on the way at the Applegreen, arriving at approx. 12 noon at Slane. The bus will leave approx. 4.30pm/5pm with a short stop at the Applegreen and arrive back hopefully by 7pm-7.30pm latest. You are advised to bring a good packed lunch, a fold up chair and drinks. Shuttle buses are available at Slane for those who need them for going up and down the hill. Cost for the bus only is £10 per person (£5 for children). The Andersonstown Group of Alcoholics Anonymous will hold an Open Public Meeting for all those interested in the problem of alcoholism. Venue: St Agnes Parish Hall (behind church) Date: Monday 7 August Time 8:00 – 9:30pm.Scheduled speakers include AA members who will share their experience of alcoholism and of their recovery through Alcoholics Anonymous. A speaker from the medical profession will speak on their interaction with AA and a speaker from Al Anon, a fellowship for families and friends who are affected by a loved one’s drinking.
FIRST SAT DEVOTIONS will take place on 5th Aug in St Matthias’s Church. 3pm Adoration & Confessions, 4pm Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Please come along and bring a friend.
