BISHOP TREANOR wrote in his Pastoral Letter for the Jubilee of Mercy: “ I invite everyone in the Diocese to observe a special “ Day of Mercy” on the last Friday of every month beginning on Friday, 29th January and concluding on Friday, 28th October 2016. This should be a day of prayer, fasting and almsgiving; a day when we remember God’s mercy for us and share that mercy with others.” To support parishioners in the observance of the Day of Mercy a Diocesan Prayer Book has been published. This attractive and practical Prayer Book is available in the church this weekend, Price: £1

DIOCESAN VOCATION WEEKEND

The “ Door of Mercy” has been opened in this Jubilee Year of Mercy! Have you ever considered the possibility that God is calling you to be His ambassador of mercy as a priest in the Church?  If so, why not take this opportunity to gather with other men who are discerning a vocation to the priesthood? This retreat will create the time and space to help you discern God’s call in your life.

TOBAR MHUIRE a day of prayer in solidarity with those who have lost loved ones through suicide will be held in Tobar Mhuire on Ash Wednesday, 10th February. The day begins with an opening prayer service at 10am, followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament throughout the day. An evening Prayer Service at 7.30pm will be addressed by Philip Mc Taggart, founder of PIPS, who lost his son through suicide. All welcome. For further details  call the Secretary on 02844 830242.

ST. PATRICK’S PARISH is delighted to announce a spectacular Dinner and Dance Event to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and raise much-needed funds for the Church’s Stone Restoration Fund.   The Parish will host a Dinner Dance in Titanic, Belfast on Thursday, 17th March. The evening will commence at 7pm with a drinks reception. This will be followed by a sumptuous three-course meal at 8pm. Internationally renowned singing trio ‘The Priests’ will give an after-dinner concert. Guests can then dance the night away to swing sensation ‘Dave Martin and the Casino Cats’.  Tickets are priced at £60 each.
