From Pope Francis
This is the decisive sentence of
Jesus. Today he says: “I am the
way” (14: 6). To ascend to
Heaven the way is Jesus: it is to
have a living relationship with
him, it is to imitate him in love,
it is to follow his steps. And I, a Christian, you, a Christian,
each of us Christians, can ask ourselves: “What path do I follow?” There are ways that do not lead to Heaven: the ways of
worldliness, the ways of self-assertion, the ways of selfish
power. And there is the way of Jesus, the way of humble love,
of prayer, of meekness, of trust, of service to others. It is not
the way that puts me at the centre, it is the way of Jesus being
the centre of my life. It is to go ahead every day asking him:
“Jesus, what do you think of my choice? What would you do
in this situation, with these people?” It will do us good to ask
Jesus, who is the way, for the directions to Heaven. May Our
Lady, Queen of Heaven, help us to follow Jesus, who opened
Heaven for us. (Regina Caeli, 10.05.20)

ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
Invitation to a screening of ‘The Letter’
Date: Wednesday 24th May 2023.
Venue: St Teresa’s Parish Centre, Glen Road.
Time: 7pm. Join our Parish Community on Wednesday 24th May at 7pm in St Teresa’s Parish Centre, Glen Road, to view the most recent documentary featuring Pope Francis and meet over a cup of coffee/tea afterwards. The documentary charts a meeting of four individuals from across the globe, invited by Pope Francis to Rome to tell their very personal stories – from India, Senegal, Hawaii and the Brazilian Amazon. It poses very urgent and pertinent questions for each one of us, especially as we emerge from the Covid Pandemic, as to how we wish to live our lives knowing that our actions impact upon others often in far corners of the earth. This is the start of a global conversation based on the messages contained within the encyclical letter “Laudato Si’’. The screening lasts 40 minutes. Please let us know if you are able to join us by contacting Peter Mc Alister e-mail
ppmcalister@yahoo.com and/or turn up on the evening.

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF FATIMA
O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, you were
pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message.
We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the
Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption that are recalled
therein may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen
