ST AGNES’ CHRISTMAS CARD:  We are asking for volunteers to distribute our  annual  Christmas card from this Monday 7th Dec.Please contact Kate in Parish Office 02890 615702 if you can help . Thank you.

OLIVE WOOD GIFTS A missionary group from Bethlehem , The Holy Land will visit St Agnes Parish on the 12th and 13th of December to briefly talk about the Holy Land and to sell religious articles made out of olive wood to help and support the poor Christians families ,  any help you could give them it will be highly appreciated .

PARISH MAGAZINE We are producing a magazine to cover the activities of the last 10 years in the Parish. This is to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of St Agnes’ Parish from 1955-2015. The magazine should be ready for the feast of St Agnes’on 21st January 2016.

REMINDER Buses will be departing for the Seniors Christmas dinner in the Ballymac Hotel from 1pm today (Sunday) Please be on time.

SVP ANNUAL CHRISTMAS COLLECTION Will take place this evening and tomorrow Saturday / Sunday 5th & 6th December. Many thanks for your generous support.

HOLY CHILD PRIMARY SCHOOL SOUTH GREEN OPEN AFTERNOON Thursday 3rd Dec 2015 at 1.30pm. For parents of children starting Nursery or P1 in September 2016. 26 free Nursery places and 111 Primary One  places. At Holy Child we welcome pupils from any Parish. Opportunities for children to take part in a wide range of Extra Curricular Activities/ After School Clubs. Extended Schools, Breakfast Club, 2-3 club Parent Workshops, Homework Club.

THE DOOR OF MERCY

On Tuesday 8th December 2015 Pope Francis will open the Holy Door: the Door of Mercy in St Peter’s Basilica, Rome, inaugurating a Year of Mercy.  He hopes this will be “ a special time for the Church”: a time to “ gaze more attentively on mercy so that we may become a more effective sign of the Father’s action in our lives.”

On Sunday 13th December Bishop Noel Treanor will open the Door of Mercy for the Diocese in St Patrick’s Church, Donegall St., Belfast.  This will take place during 7pm evening mass and parishioners from across the Diocese are invited to attend.
