SUMMER NOTICES:

  1. The 8.00am Weekday Mass and Morning Prayer will cease from 30th June to 31st August.
  2. The Parish Office will be closed from 11th-16th July.
  3. The Parish Hall will close from 11th-20th July.
  4. There will be no Parish Bulletin during the months of July and August.

The Ordination of Rev Dominic McGrattan  to the priesthood will take place in St Patrick’s Church, Portaferry, at 3pm  today. Please remember him in your prayers.

St Peter’s Cathedral Sunday 29th June at 5.00pm Solemn Vespers Feast of St Peter and St Paul— Preacher Fr. Henry O’Shea O.S.B Glenstal Abbey. Music led by St Peter’s Cathedral Schola.

Archbishop Robin Eames is to speak at a special interdenominational healing service on Monday, June 30th at 8.00 in St. Anne’s Cathedral, Donegall St., Belfast.  His theme will be ‘Inner Peace and Community Peace’. All welcome.

St Columbanus: To celebrate the 1500th Anniversary of the death of St Columbanus a Year of Columbanus is being opened in Rome on 12 October 2014 with a Mass in St John Lateran, the Cathedral Church of Rome. There will also be a concert given by ”˜The Priests’ and an International Meeting of countries and parishes evangelised by St Columbanus. A Pilgrimage, led by Bishop Treanor, will depart from Dublin on 8th October and return on 15th. Accommodation will be in 3 star hotels in Rome and the cost per person sharing is 995euro. FREE hearing-aid clinic: Do you want an NHS hearing aid or know someone who does? Action on Hearing Loss runs a free drop-in clinic at Harvester House, 4-8 Adelaide Street, Belfast. BT2 8GA. Clinics are running over the summer months on Thursday 10th July, Thursday 14th August, Thursday 11th September and Thursday 9th October 2014.
