There will be a priest available for confession after all Masses on Palm Sunday.

The Special Ministers of Holy Communion will meet this Thurs. 4th April at 11am.

The CATHOLICISM course continues this week. The theme is: The Word Made Flesh””the mystery of the liturgy and the Eucharist. Venue: St Agnes’ Parish Centre; Time: Tues. 7.30pm-9pm or Wed. 11am-12.30pm during Lent. Admission: Free.

The new Parish Weekly Envelopes boxes can be collected at next week’s Sunday Masses.

The last of the Solemn Rosaries for Lent will take place this Thursday at 7pm. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Recited Rosary, Adoration and Solemn Benediction. All welcome.

St Agnes Social and Entertainments Committee will be hosting an Easter Bonnet competition on Sunday 13th April for all age groups. Please join us in Parish Centre at 11.20am for coffee, tea, buns, face painting and balloon making and a display of colourful bonnets with plenty of craic.

What’s on locally

The Feast of Divine Mercy will be celebrated in St Peter’s Cathedral, Falls Road, on Sunday 37th April at 2.30pm. The rosary will be followed by the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Holy Mass. Confessions available. Car parking available.

The Crucifixion: On Sunday 13th April at 7pm the St Polycarp’s Parish Choir will be performing Stainer’s The Crucifixion, along with Fr. Martin O’Hagan from The Priests as tenor soloist and Nigel McClintock Director of Music of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belfast as organist.

The Annual Diocesan Liturgy Seminar, entitled “ Rediscovering the Word of God” will be held on Saturday 10th May 2014 from 1pm – 4.30pm in St Anne’s Parish Centre, Kingsway, Finaghy, Belfast BT10 0NE. It will be conducted by Bro. Pat Mullins O.Carm. The Seminar is open to all, and will be especially interesting to Ministers of the Word. Trócaire: Monday 7th April will mark the 20th anniversary of the start of one of the most horrific events in modern history. Over the course of just 100 days in 1994, around one million people were killed in the Rwandan genocide – more than a fifth of Ireland’s population. Irish people donated £6million to Trócaire’s emergency appeal for Rwanda. This was, at the time, the largest public donation in the history of the organisation. Trócaire continues to work in Rwanda on your behalf, helping to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people.
