The Offertory Promise collection amounted to £2278.00. Thank you.

The Apostolic Work wish to thank everyone who gave so generously to their Annual Door Collection last weekend. The collection amounted to £2,500.

Solemn Rosary on the occasion of the Consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Pope Francis. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Recited Rosary with hymns, and Solemn Benediction. Sunday 13th October at 7:00pm, St Agnes’ Church. All welcome.

A special word of thanks to all who participated in the Parish Volunteers Celebration evening held last Friday in the Parish Centre. It showed how many groups take an active role in our Parish, dedicating their time and energy in passing on the Faith in so many aspects of our Parish community life.

The Parish Historical Trip was held last Saturday. A wonderful day was had by all. A special thanks to Mr Danny McGarry, and our guide, Mr Roddy Hegarty, for making the day such a great success.

A necklace has been found at the Parish Centre. Please enquire at Parish Office.

St Michael’s Parish is offering a one day pre-marriage course for all our 2014 couples. Venue: Beechlawn Hotel. Date: Sunday 1st December 2013. Time: 10.00am—4.30pm. LIVING YOUTH – Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia Team 2014: We are excited to announce the launch of recruitment for this year’s Youth Team who will travel to Ethiopia in July 2014. Applicants should be 18yrs or over; team members will be expected to contribute to the cost of the trip as well as engage in an extensive fundraising campaign. MEDICAL ETHICS CONFERENCE: “ So you want to be a good Doctor?” – An intensive one-day workshop in medical ethics for doctors and medical students has been organized by the Lismullin Institute (www.lismullin.ie) at the Wellington Park Hotel, 21 Malone Rd, Belfast on Saturday 12th October from 10am to 5pm.  A poster is attached for display in church porches.

A relic of St Anthony of Padua will be brought to St Peter’s Cathedral on 24th October to mark the 750th anniversary of the discovery of the saint’s remains by St Bonaventure in 1263. The relic will arrive at the Cathedral at 12 noon and veneration will be held form 1pm to 5.45pm. Mass will be celebrated at 6pm, followed by further veneration at 7pm and Benediction at 9pm.

YEAR OF FAITH YOUTH EVENING. Friday 22nd November, Parish of Drumbo, Saintfield Road, Belfast. 7pm-10pm. Mass at 9.00pm with Bishop Donal McKeown. Presentation in prayer, song and drama by youth groups in the Diocese.  All welcome whatever your age. Refreshments during the evening. Ample Car Parking.
