FIRST HOLY COMMUNION Will be celebrated next Saturday 11th May at 11am. The boys and girls of the parish will receive Holy Communion for the first time.

N.B PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO 1PM MASS OR CONFESSIONS ON SATURDAY 11TH MAY DUE TO THE FIRST HOLY COMMUNION.

What’s on Locally…

Children of the Troubles is a project by Joe Duffy and Freya McClements.   They are writing a book to remember the children who died as a result of Northern Ireland’s ‘Troubles’.   They wish to accurately and sensitively record the lives of these children, who died so young.   If your family or friends lost a child – aged 16 and under – and you would like to contribute to the book, please contact Joe or Freya on 07743589203 or e-mail – childrenofthetroubles@gmail.com’.

Darkness into Light Walk Hannahstown Community Association and Lamh Dhearg C.L.G will be hosting its Third Darkness into Light event on Saturday 11th May 2019. On the morning of the event we will begin a 5km walk @ 4.15am together in darkness from Lamh Dhearg club and walk a circular route finishing back at Lamh Dhearg in the light. Each participant will be welcomed back with refreshments in the clubrooms. You can register online at www.darknessintolight.ie/event/hannahstown or in Lamh Dhearg clubrooms on Saturday 4th May between 10am-12noon. Each participant will receive a Darkness into Light T-Shirt. Please note that on the morning of the walk there will be a Park & Ride Service from the Kennedy Centre to the grounds of Lamh Dhearg—last bus leaves at 3.30am.

ACCORD provides counselling services for couples who may be experiencing difficulties in their relationship. They also offer Marriage Preparation courses for couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage. The West Belfast Historical Society is meeting on Friday the 10th of May at 7.30pm in St. Michael’s Parish Centre on Finaghy Road North (Access via Church Gateway on Finaghy Road North just before the garage opposite the Church at junction with Andersonstown Road). The May talk is entitled “CLIFTON HOUSE”

The guest speaker will be “A REPRESENTATIVE FRON CLIFTON HOUSE” All are Welcome to Attend and Refreshments will be provided.

Beginning Experience  Are you suffering the pain of loss of a partner? Looking for help and understanding?Beginning Experience (a support group for widowed, separated and divorced people) meets every Wednesday evening from 8pm to 10pm in St Bride’s Hall, Derryvolgie Ave., Malone Rd., Belfast.
