Anam Cara Belfast, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding it’s monthly Parent Evening for bereaved parents on Wednesday 8th May at 7:20pm in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast, BT8 7XP. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether their death was recent or not.

ROSARY AT GROTTOS We are asking people to please look around your area for a Marian Grotto or shrine and consider making the commitment to visit it and pray a rosary there every day of May. Many people, groups and Parishes already have the beautiful tradition of May Rosaries at their local grotto.

VOCATIONS PRAYER VIGIL Dear Parishioners you will be aware from Bishop Treanor’s Letter To follow Jesus closely, that he encourages us to pray for an increase in vocations to priesthood and religious life. We therefore warmly invite and encourage you and your loved ones to join the Pastoral community for a vigil of prayer on Thursday 2nd May in St Michaels Parish at 7.30pm, Refreshments will be available in the Parish Centre afterwards. At the vigil a Vocations Novena will be launched which you can pray at home individually, or with family and friends. This will lead us into the celebration of the Parish Eucharist on Good Shepherd Sunday. Copies of the Novena are available as you leave Mass today. Together, let us pray that all of us hear the call to follow Jesus closely and respond to it with open minds and big hearts, and that more will do so as priests and religious. Thank you.
