This weeks collection ( Green Envelope ) for Needy Parishes This collection was set up in order that the wealthier parishes in the Diocese can assist those parishes in greater need.

Sale of Graves: The Parish of Glenavy and Killead have a limited number of Burial Rights available in the graveyard of St Joseph’s Church, Chapel Road, Glenavy. This is a secluded and well tended parish graveyard in the countryside just outside Glenavy village, 20 minutes west of the city
The burial ground is described as a ‘Graveyard’ as opposed to a ‘Cemetery’ since it is attached to St Joseph’s Church. The cost of the burial right will be similar to that of Milltown Cemetery and reflects that purchasers are not, or are not expected to become contributing members of the local parish community.
