ASH WEDNESDAY 6th March 2019. Ashes will given out at the 10am and 7.30pm Masses. Trocaire Boxes will be available from this date onwards at Church entrances

ST PATRICK’S DAY MASSES Saturday 16th March at 6.30pm & Sunday 17th March at 9.30am and 12.30pm

 LENTEN PIONEER PLEDGE Many people choose to abstain from alcohol during Lent. Why not take this opportunity to perhaps help yourself or someone you know with an alcohol or drug problem by offering your sacrifice for freedom from addiction? Please consider taking the short term Lenten Pledge and make a difference to someone’s life. Register your pledge with local Pioneers and say the daily prayer.

PRAYER:” I promise in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary to abstain from all alcoholic drink during Lent.”

DAY PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK In this Holy season of Lent why not join us by offering a one day pilgrimage to Knock in honour of St Joseph on his Feast Day 19th March 2019. The West Belfast Historical Society is meeting on Friday the 8th of March at 7.30pm in St. Michael’s Parish Centre on Finaghy Road North (Access via Church Gateway on Finaghy Road North just before the garage opposite the Church at junction with Andersonstown Road). The February talk is entitled “THE LUSITANIA”

The guest speaker will be “Ms. Coleen Waters”

ST MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL PARISH There will be 7.00am Mass in St. Michael’s each weekday (Mon-Fri) during Lent.

Anam Cara Belfast, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding it’s monthly Parent Evening for bereaved parents on Wednesday 13th of March at 7:20pm in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast, BT8 7XP. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether their death was recent or not.

Vocations Prayer Evening – There will be an evening of prayer followed by refreshments in St Joseph’s Church, Greystone Road, Antrim on Thursday, 7 March 2019 from 7pm–9pm for those men discerning a vocation to the Priesthood.  The event will conclude at 9pm. Living Youth – Local Summer Pilgrimages 2019

Summer Madness – join with over 2,000 other young people, from all religious backgrounds, across the island of Ireland to celebrate, connect and explore your faith. This 5-day camping experience at Glenarm Castle is on from 28th June – 2nd July 2019, Cost: £120, Age: 15 – 18.

Camino Through the Mournes – join with other young adults to spend time together in a faith environment, all through the medium of outdoor activities such as hikes, walks and outdoor adventures. Stay in Newcastle Co Down from 6th – 9th August 2019, Cost: £125, Age: 18 – 25.
