ST AGNES’ PARISH CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE Will take place this evening Sunday 16th December at 6pm. All welcome to come along and join in

ST AGNES’ CHRISTMAS CARD St Agnes’ Christmas card with all Christmas arrangements and Mass changes is available now from the church. You are invited to take one home, drop one into friends and neighbours who are housebound and perhaps send one to family and friends who are away from home. Please note the cards will not be delivered to houses this year.

CONGRATULATIONS To Joe Broderick P7C Holy Child Primary School who won the competition to design the front cover of our Christmas Card. Well Done to him!

PENSIONERS’ CHRISTMAS DINNER: Was held Monday 3rd Dec in the Ballymac Hotel. The parish wish to thank all those who contributed and volunteered, making the afternoon a wonderful success. A special thanks to SVP, and the Ballymac and to all the local businesses who contributed.

What’s on Locally…


Visit the Live Christmas Crib at St Mary’s Grotto, opening Thursday, 13 December 2018 until Sunday, 6 January 2019. Come along and meet Mary and Joseph, Shepherds and the Three wise men. This year animals are kindly provided by the Irish Donkey association and there will be a baby donkey in the crib this year. Carol singers daily at 2 pm. and 5 pm. Proceeds to the Mill Hill Missionaries working in Sudan.

NURSES! The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes is currently seeking volunteers to join our nursing team to care for our pilgrims who will stay at the Accueil Notre Dame, during our 2019 Pilgrimage (10-15 July.) You will need to be a registered nurse, active on the NMC live register – newly registered nurses are welcome.  For more information or to register your interest please email us to with your contact details and we will get back to you.

FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTIONS Will take place in St. Matthias’s Church, Glen Road, on Saturday 5th January. 3pm Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Confessions, 4pm Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Please come along and bring a friend.

LEGION OF MARY REGINA COELI HOSTEL 8-10 LAKE GLEN AVENUE – Would be very grateful if you could help with donations to provide each of their guests with a bag of gifts on Christmas morning. Any donations would be a great help towards making Christmas a more joyful occasion for guests. Suitable items: Hat, scarf, gloves, socks, nightwear, jewellery, Shower-gel, bath sets, make-up, slippers. All donations to be left into the Hostel thank you.
