ST AGNES’ SENIORS’ CHRISTMAS DINNER: Will be held on MONDAY 3rd December in the Ballymac Hotel from 1pm-5.30pm. ( Bus will be leaving at 12.15pm sharp to arrive in time for 1pm ) All pensioners of the parish who wish to attend please register your name and meal choice (Turkey & Ham or Fish (Cod) Pavlova or Pudding ) with Kate in the Parish Office 02890 615702. ( last week for names and orders )

ANNUAL MASS FOR THE BEREAVED Will be held tomorrow evening (Monday) in St Agnes’ Church at 7.00pm, followed by refreshments in the Parish Centre (St Agnes Drive) Whilst the friends and family of those that have died this past year will receive a personal invitation, all parishioners, and especially those bereaved, are welcome to attend .

ST AGNES SVP TOY APPEAL After careful consideration St Agnes SVP will no longer be holding their Annual Toy Appeal. Many thanks to all who have so generously contributed to this appeal over the years. St Agnes SVP have decided that financial assistance is more effective at Christmas time to families with children. Our Annual Christmas Collection will be held on the weekend of 1st/2nd December.

SVP CHRISTMAS CARDS Are now available to purchase from the Sacristy. £3 per pack, 10 cards in a pack. Thank you for your continued support.

WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES 2018 Please support the Fifth National Collection for WMOF which will be taken up in our parish this weekend 10th & 11th November 2018. Thank you for your generosity to date.

HOLY CHILD PRIMARY SCHOOL AND NURSERY UNIT Invitation to attend our Open Day on Tuesday 4th December 2018. 1.30pm & 6pm. 26 Nursery and 111 Primary one places.(Proposal to reduce to 87 places pending a decision from DE ) All parents and children welcome. Refreshments provided.


The Living Church Office will be hosting a series of development days for Children’s Liturgy Leaders. The first of these days will take place on: Saturday the 24th November in Holy Rosary Parish Hall, Ormeau Road, from 9.30am – 4.30pm. SIGN OF PEACE The practice of the ‘sign of peace’ during the celebration of Mass is being suspended with immediate effect and for the remainder of the winter flu season , as advised by health authorities. Please remember good hand hygiene.

November - Month of the Holy Souls.Many people choose to abstain from alcohol for the month of November and offer up their sacrifice for their deceased loved ones. YOU CAN DO LIKEWISE. Take the short term Pledge for November and say the Prayer daily: “I promise in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary to abstain from all alcoholic drink during November”.The Annual Mass for Deceased Pioneers will be held in Good Shepherd Church, 511 Ormeau Road on Wednesday 21st November, 7.30pm.

WEST BELFAST PASTORAL COMMUNITY MINISTERS OF THE WORD Fr. Gerard McGee (chaplain to Q.U.B.) will present reflection on and preparation of Scripture for Ministers of the Word, (Lectio Divina in particular), on Tuesday 13th November at 7.30pm.VENUE: St Oliver Plunkett Parish Hall

Feast of families in Knock Shrine! Come to Knock on the 17th of November for a day filled with faith, food & fun! The celebration will include mass, individual talks for parents, young adults and children, games, adoration and individual blessing for each family. Knock is important for families as it is the place that Our Lady brought her family to bless the people of Ireland. The celebrant of the mass is Fr.Shane Sullivan & the speakers on the day are Fr.Mark Byrne (SOLT) & Pure in Heart. Bring a packed lunch.
