St Agnes Parish Bulletin 19th April 2020

Parish News…

Many parishioners are asking  about donating and what they can/should do about their weekly and monthly envelopes. Our suggestion to you is to do one of a few things:

Using the donate button on our home page, you can use your bank debit or credit card to donate straight to us. Alternatively, you can continue to put your contributions into your envelopes and  save them all until we are opened again and we can receive them all in the weekly plate. Lastly, you can simply donate one larger amount to us when we are all back to normal.

Unfortunately, direct debit/standing order isn’t possible at this time as staff cannot liaise with you with the proper forms and the detail you need as our staff are furlough workers until 31st May 2020.

Thanks to those who have already used the  donate option and thanks to all for continuing to support the parish financially and spiritually with your uplifting messages. Stay home and stay safe. God Bless you all.

Sacrament of Reconciliation during the Coronavirus Emergency As highlighted in the Decree of the Apostolic Penitentiary and stated by the Holy Father in his Homily of 20 March 2020, it is vitally important that the faithful know that if they cannot access confession, then, by making an act of sorrow, by being truly contrite for all their sins with the intention not to sin anymore, and with the intention of going to confession as soon as is possible, they are reconciled with God and obtain the forgiveness of their sins, even mortal sins.    Bishop Noel Treanor

A Prayer for Priests during this time of the Coronavirus  Eternal God, be with our priests this day as they seek to minister to your people. May you be a guiding and protective presence with them as they bring the consolation and hope of your word and the grace and nourishment of Eucharist to those entrusted into their care. Grant them the strength of mind and body, keep them safe to do your will, and give them the courage and peace to face each day with trust and confidence in you. Into your hands O God, we commend them; fill them with your grace and healing. Amen.
